Homestead National Monument of America: Great educational experience learning about the early homesteaders through interactive displays located in several buildings.

 

Cedar Creek Pottery: All pottery is created by owner Ervin Dixon.  Store is located in a church building converted into a shop.  Free demonstrations to small groups available by arrangement.

 

Ratigan-Schottler Manufacturing: Free tours are available of the manufacturing facility that makes church furnishings such as pews and altars that are shipped all over the world.  www.ratiganschottler.com

 

Yesterday's Lady: Owner Sue McLain gives a tour of her shop which offers unique vintage clothing for sale.  Groups up to 50 will receive a short presentation on fashion, be served a light dessert in the tea room for $6 per person.  Individuals are welcome to come in and shop or look around.

 

Veteran's Memorial Park: A great visual tribute to local veterans, located in Beatrice.  Enjoy the serene atmosphere and reflect on the dedicated service to our freedom.

 

Beatrice Bakery: This unique shop has been featured on the Food Network for its making of various kinds of fruit cake.  Samples of fruit cake are given to visitors.  Fruit cake is available for purchase.  www.beatricebakery.com

  

Old West Trails Center, Odell:  Special free tours are welcome at this museum where visitors may enjoy over 100 feet of interior murals celebrating the history of local transportation. 

 

Great Plains Welsh Heritage Centre, Wymore: This Centre contains exhibit areas, library and archives, an auditorium with digital theatre for showing Welsh films, a gift shop, a serving kitchen for preparing Welsh teas, and a genealogic data base of Welsh American families. 

 

Gage County Visitor's Bureau- Did you know that the Gage County Visitor's Bureau is housed in the recently renovated old Carnegie Library? Come check out the beautiful building and also stop and get maps, brochures, and more visitor information!
