Mercy Meals – Blue Rivers Area (Southeast Nebraska and Northeast Kansas)
Will be packing 60,000 meals at the Odell Community Building in Odell, Nebraska on Monday, June 6 and Tuesday June 7, 2016. This will be the last packing for 2016.
We are in need of volunteers willing to feed starving and malnourished children around the world. Each meal costs about 10 cents.
We will run 3 lines in each of 6 shifts on Monday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 7th. We need about 45 volunteers per shift. Shifts are from 1 – 3 pm, 3 – 5 pm, & 5 – 7 pm. Volunteers are asked to come 15 minutes before their shift starts so there is time to get oriented and sanitized prior to their shift start time. We would also appreciate help cleaning up both days after the 7:00 shift. So if you are unable to help during a shift, we can use your help from 7 – 8 for cleanup.
Also, cookies and snacks for the volunteers are greatly appreciated.
